The word is insect.
VOCABULARY PARADE TODAY!
We joined up with Mrs. Frost's class and had a wonderful Vocabulary Parade. It was really fun to work with students and to see their creative ideas take shape. Our class pictures were taken after the parade. The words that were displayed from our class were; border, coast, container, crumple, cylinder, dangle, fan, nursery, opposite, spine, tenticle.

Robin's nest by my front door.

I am enjoying listening to all of the bird sightings described by my students.  Thanks for your enthusiasm, parents, in helping your child enjoy nature. This picture shows that a robin won the fight. The nest was built right by our front door. I didn't want to have it so close to our entry way. So I would take the starting of the nest down and the robin would just start over again. This went on for a week. Over the weekend we were gone, so the robin had the place to herself and won the contest. Now we're watching to see the progress of the eggs and babies. Needless to say, we're not using the front door for awhile.
